If you’ve been following some local bloggers, you might already heard about the Sunshine Blogger Award.
I believe this Sunshine Blogger Award aims to spread positivity and good vibes to the blogging community, by letting bloggers share their personal side. So, if you’re expecting some itineraries and travel tips, this isn’t the post for you. But if you want to know some personal things about me and Rest Day Adventures, I assure you it’s gonna be fun!
First of all, I’d like to thank Yanna Paz, a fellow blogger, for nominating me to do this one.
She gave me a set of questions, which I have to answer/write about.
So, let’s Start this Sunshine Blogger Award (Rest Day Adventures edition)!
1.) How Do You See Yourself As A Blogger (of Rest Day Adventures)?
I am a straightforward and a dreamy blogger for Rest Day Adventures.
For me, being straightforward is very important for my readers.
Because aside from writing, I also enjoy reading a lot, so I know the significance of reading something that is clear and concise.
Actually, I’m an impatient reader, so I know that wordy sentences won’t keep my reader’s attention.
Also, I am a dreamer who loves to explore new things, new places, and try a lot of things.
And of course, I love sharing my thoughts and my photos thru Rest Day Adventures.
2.) Do Rest Day Adventures Have a Target Audience?
Every time I write contents for Rest Day Adventures, I always think that I’m talking to these people:
- 18-35 years old
- Employed or Studying
- With Limited Time to Travel (particularly those who can travel during their rest days only)
- People Who Love Planned Trips
- First Time Travelers
3.) For How Long Do You See Yourself Blogging for Rest Day Adventures?
I would love to blog for as long as people still read and appreciate contents from Rest Day Adventures.
4.) What Are You Most Excited About Whenever Blogging?
Blogging is my way of sharing thoughts, photos, and experiences with my readers.
Actually, it’s when people can relate to my stories and posts, it makes me excited to create more.
5.) What Was the Most Difficult Thing Rest Day Adventures Faced as a Blogger and How Did You Overcome It?
There was actually a time when I lost my appetite for writing and stopped blogging for about a couple of weeks.
Because I found out that there were people/ Facebook pages who stole my photos and posted my photos as if they owned it.
Those were the times when I do not watermark my photos for Rest Day Adventures yet.
I messaged those people, and surprisingly, most of them got angry at being called out.
So, I just reported those people to Facebook and the stolen photos were already taken down.
But deep inside, I got so mad that it made me want to rest my blogging for a while. I was so disappointed on how some people do not value originality and copyrights.
After I let all my negative emotions out, I started recovering, and I promised to come back to blogging a lot stronger and better.
And I came back with a well-researched blog post: 16 Epic Reasons to Visit Philippines, I created better blog posts, and I started using a watermark. 🙂
6.) What’s the Tip of Rest Day Adventures To Those Who Are Planning to Blog?
I still consider Rest Day Adventures as a newbie website, but for the sake of the Sunshine Blogger Award, here are some tips:
- Use your imagination, but always back up your statements with facts, avoid spreading false news and hearsays.
- Start your blog right, do not be a copycat, do not plagiarize
- Own your work and be proud, don’t hesitate to share your talent with your friends and loved ones.
- Find ways to use your influence to create a better world!
7.) Will You Share Your Most Unforgettable Moment as a Blogger?
The moment closest to my heart was when the locals from Papaya Island personally thanked me for blogging about their place.
They were so thankful because the tourists started to flock to their community after I wrote about it.
And now, some locals no longer need to work in Manila just to earn money. They can now earn by lending their rooms, being a tour guide, and by selling meals to tourists.
I will forever treasure those moments, that in my own ways, I was able to help a community.
8.) Describe the Blogging Community in one word and Explain.
I think the blogging community has grown to become very influential, especially to the younger generations. Most teenagers follow some bloggers, and they look up to them.
So, I hope more bloggers become more cautious in what they do, say, and write.
9.) What’s One Thing You’ve Been Dying to Try?
I’ve been wishing to become an intern of a Professional Photographer!
10.) If Given the Chance to Choose a Superpower you’d possess for a Lifetime, What would it be and Why?
I’d like to have the power of Magneto from X-Men, the power to manipulate metals.
I often tell my boyfriend, whenever he drives, that I wanted to have the same power as Magneto so I can control every car with irresponsible drivers.
Because I really feel that we can all have a better life if we have lesser traffic, and lesser road accidents.
11.) Rest Day Adventures’ Words of Positivity for People Who are Currently Down, Feeling Empty, and Lost.
If you’re currently down, feeling empty, and lost, I tell you, I know how it feels.
I’ve been depressed some time ago for some personal problems, I even thought that I can’t take it anymore.
But then circumstances will reveal that there are people who actually care for you, people who will go out of their way to help you, and there are people who won’t let you down.
It’s okay to cry, it’s okay to slow down, it’s okay to heal yourself in ways you are comfortable.
And once you exhausted all the negative emotions out, try to move on and see the good in everything.
So, that ends my Sunshine Blogger Award 2018 post. Hope you enjoyed it, as much as I did.
