If you think you already visited the most popular tourist spots in Baguio City,
What is GRINDOSETAMP?
The name “
If you are a barista or a coffee enthusiast, you would know what these words mean. (Thankfully, I was a former Barista!)
And to those who have no idea, Grind, Dose, and Tamp are the steps to make an espresso.
“Grind” is for the coffee beans, “Dose” is placing the right amount of ground coffee, and “Tamp” is to smoothen out the coffee grounds before placing into the espresso machine.
After the grinding,
The espresso is the coffee you can see in almost every coffee shops, it’s in a shot glass, and it’s usually the base of your favorite latte, cappuccino, or mocha.
From the name itself, it shows that they know more than just an Instagram-worthy coffee. They actually know the technicalities and the complexities of coffee-making.
6 Reasons Why
Grindosetamp Cafe is the Latest Trend in Baguio City
- Milk Tea Craze
- Board Games
- Great Food
- Excellent Customer Service
If you enjoyed the brief “Coffee 101” above, then you will definitely have so much fun with their Brew-it-Yourself station.
As a barista, I only had the chance to use an espresso machine, a French Press, and a coffee brewer.
So, it’s surprising that in
Ms. Rica of Grindosetamp Cafe assisted me in using their coffee equipment, and had me tasted the coffee after the preparation.
With the same coffee beans we used, I liked the taste produced by Aeropress better than the Hario v2. Though, I had to practice more to get the perfect balance of taste.
Forget about the latte art (though they can make it,too) because they just leveled up by printing your selfies on your coffee!
At first, I thought it’s just the cover of your coffee. But I was wrong!
The printed selfie is actually edible, and they can print it on both hot and cold beverage of your choice.
#3 Milk Tea Craze
Aside from the coffee enthusiasts, GDT Cafe also caters for the non-coffee drinker millennials. That’s why they also have milk tea and tea beverages.
We tried their Taro Milk Tea and Mixed Berries Fruit Tea with Popping Bobba. I liked the popping
#4 Board Games
Bond with your friend with their selections of board games. You can ask their staff if you want to borrow one, while you are enjoying a cup of selfieccino.
#5 Great Food
Aside from the legitimate coffee experience, you will also enjoy their menu. Their ingredients are sourced locally, which is good for our local suppliers.
This one is my personal favorite because I am a huge cheese lover. It’s served hot, and fresh. Actually, I ate 5 pieces of this.
You can order half of this as a solo order, and this one is the sharing portion. It went well with coffee and milk tea.
Definitely a must-try.
There were actually 4 pieces of chicken strips for a serving of this. But due to its appetizing smell, I forgot to take a photo before eating it.
It is crunchy, balanced flavor, and the chicken is soft enough. Personally, I wasn’t able to finish this alone because the serving was big.
While I was enjoying the Quesadilla, my future father-in-law, who was also with us, almost finished eating this whole serving.
He really enjoyed the Pinoy Style Clubhouse.
The presentation was good, and the food was really worth the price. The texture of the bread complements well with the meat and vegetable fillings.
From its name, you’ll have an idea that the ingredients for this pasta were sourced from Cordillera.
Unlike the usual sweet spaghetti at home or in fast food chains, this one tastes stronger. I can remember the tomato aftertaste of this.
#6 Excellent Customer Service
One factor that helps me decide whether to recommend an establishment or not to my readers is the customer service.
From the moment we entered the establishment, up until we left, each staff treated us well.
They were very easy to talk to, and they greet every guests that come in with a pleasant smile.
I’m not going to spoil the experience for you, because I want you to experience this first hand.
