Jeff and I learned more about each other as we travel frequently.
I found out that he’s really good at swimming and diving. And he found out that I have
#3 Better Communication
Going to different places together will also help improve your communication with your partner.
You will develop simple gestures or eye contact as an effective way of communication because you two spend so much time together.
#4 Spark Romance and Affection
Have you seen the couples on social media traveling together, holding hands, kissing underwater, or doing proposals on a scenic spot?
Well, couples who travel together manages to spark the romance more often.
#5 Experiencing New Things Together
Recently, Jeff and I had our first ever visit in Caraga, Davao Oriental together. And together, we experienced eating a frog, durian, and coconut larva, we entered a cave, we did skimboarding, we watched the sunrise in Pusan Point (where the sun rises first in the Philippines), and we met new people.
Experiencing things together as a couple will definitely bring the two of you closer than ever.
#6 Reveals Who They Are to Each Other
I think it’s one of the reasons why there are a lot of couples who got engaged while they were traveling. Because traveling brings out your emotions, and you realize the importance of the person who’s always beside you.
#7 Live the Romance Out of Spontaneity
Going to different places will reveal the romantic side of your partner.
Simple things like helping you carry your bag, buying you bottled water, helping you apply sunblock, or taking the best photos of you, will make you feel how much you care for each other.
#8 Living in the Moment
Couples who travel together are happier because they get to spend more time while worrying less.
When you spend a week for a vacation, you tend to refocus on your life instead of thinking about your stress, problems, insecurities, and doubts. You get to live in the moment.
#9 Learning to Trust More
When I learned how good Jeff is at swimming, I learned to trust him more when he told me that he will never let me drown. It felt reassuring for me.
When you spend so much time with your partner, you get to know them better, and it will lead you to trusting them.
#10 Learning Together
It can be about history, a new language, a new cuisine, or a hobby, learning it with your loved one will make the memory unforgettable. And it will help you associate that person with good memories.
#11 Becomes More Forgiving
Imagine if you only have 3 days and 2 nights to travel, will you spend it fighting over an issue?
If it’s a petty issue, you will definitely learn how to forgive, because you would want to enjoy your trip.
#12 Experiencing Freedom Together
We tend to associate traveling with freedom, and people in a relationship were labeled as people who gave up their freedom for their partners.
So, when the two of you travel together, you will both experience the freedom from routines and everyday life. And it feels very refreshing.
#13 Tests Compatibility
Couples who travel together are also tested for compatibility. Are you compatible with the way you handle finances, the way you manage your time, and how you approach a situation?
Traveling is a good way to test if someone is a good fit for a lifetime or not.
#14 Becoming a Team
In a place where you can only depend on your partner, it becomes “us against the world” scenario.
You get to work things out together, plan everything, and make the most out of your trip.
#15 Feeling Accomplished
Finishing a hike, earning a certificate, or successfully trying an extreme adventure will give both of you a reason to celebrate. No matter how small the accomplishment is, it becomes valuable because you did it with your special someone.
#16 Meet New People Together
As couples who travel together, you get a chance to meet new friends, or other couples who travel together, too.
This way, you are introduced as a couple, and it will always make you look like a sweet and loving pair.
#17 Creating Lasting Memories Together
The priceless moments you get to spend with your partner will always stay with you. All the experiences, the good, the bad, and the ugly, will bring your relationship into a whole new level.
