#1 Rule of Thirds
One of the most common smartphone photography hacks you will hear is the “Rule of Thirds“.
Rule of Thirds simply suggests that you put the subject of your photo on any of the four
Did you know that your smartphones have this feature?
Just go to the “Camera“. Then click on the “Settings” icon, below you’ll see “Grid Lines“. Just turn it on and you will see a
#2 Leading Lines
Another popular hack in getting a good photo is the “Leading Lines“.
This technique aims to draw the attention towards the subject of the photo using lines that lead to the subject.
In the photo above, the lines from the giant hammock help emphasize the subject, which is me.
You can actually do this with buildings, roads, trails, stairways, trees, or bridges. Don’t limit your creativity.
On your next travel with your boyfriend/girlfriend, try this technique, and see the difference!
#3 Straight Lines
This simple technique is often overlooked by boyfriends. They do not know how “straight photos” can make so much difference!
Always watch out for lines.
If you have taken a good shot but slightly slanted, you can straighten it using phone apps.
#4 The Golden Hour
Take note of the hour right after 6 A.M. and before 6 P.M.
The warm, softened, golden rays of sun gives your photo a stunning flare.
Most photographers wait for these hours to capture the best images because this natural light is very hard to replicate.
#5 Facing the Sun
One of the reasons I love going to the beach is that I get to have some awesome photos. Why?
Because I get to expose myself to the natural light, the sunshine.
Even if I miss the Golden Hour, I still love my photos taken facing the sun. It just naturally makes my skin glow and look healthy.
So, whatever pose you want, make sure you are finding the source of light, and be sure to face it!
#6 Up the Resolution
To have the highest possible quality of photo, make sure you use the highest resolution available to your phone.
You can actually check this on the Settings of your phone. The higher the number, means the resolution is higher.
Though, using the highest resolution might also eat up more storage space, and might take a
#7 Keep the Camera Lens Clean
Before taking any pictures, be sure to wipe the camera lens with a clean and soft cloth.
Smudges and fingerprints on your camera lens will instantly make the photo blurred.
When you are in the beach, look at how the stunning sky reflects to the sea.
If your girlfriend loves the beach and the sunset, taking photos with reflection will definitely make her so happy!
One of the most popular smartphone photography hacks during the sunset is the silhouette effect.
As the sky gets darker, it also gets harder to find the source of natural light.
So, the subject still faces the sun, but this time, the photographer will shoot against the light.
Check Her Posture
Make sure your subject stands straight, and doesn’t look tired.
Chin up, chest out, stomach in, and smile. Having the right posture will make the photo flattering for the subject.
Remember, if your girlfriend looks fat on the photo, it’s automatically an ugly photo. So make sure there are no double chin, loose arms, or excess belly shown on her pictures.
#11 One Foot Forward
To have a sexier looking legs, it’s a must to always put one foot forward. It creates the slimmer look for your whole body.
Bonus tip: If you can tip toe, imagine wearing a stiletto, this can make your legs look a lot longer.
#12 Never Zoom
If you want to take a picture of a subject that is very far from you, zooming the camera will never give your photos a justice.
This will only end up with blurred photos.
It’s better to come closer to the subject than to zoom in.
#13 Edit Images
After taking the pictures, you can enhance or brighten the photo using apps like Adobe Lightroom or Snapseed.
I personally use Adobe Lightroom for most of my photos.
While, for healing the blemishes, I use Snapseed, and it’s very helpful!
#14 Take Many Pictures
This is one of the reminders my boyfriend easily understood. I have unlimited energy for taking photos, so, he had to take as many pictures as possible!
Also, this way, you can practice the angle and become better as you shoot.
I hope these smartphone photography hacks can help you and your jowa become closer together!
